Dr. Alfarawati graduated from Damascus University, School of Medicine, in Damascus, Syria in 1986. He attended a preliminary postgraduate year in IM from 1986 to 1987. He arrived in the USA in August of 1987. He enrolled in Kaplan Institute for ECFMG and FLEX exam preparation and was accepted in an externship program at Cleveland Metro Hospital. He enrolled in Clinical pathology program at Boston University, MA. He later enrolled in IM residency at Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT. Dr. Alfarawati engaged in Primary Care Practice from July 1993 – September 1994. He accepted a fellowship in Pulmonary Diseases at University Medical Center, Jackson, MS (mixed pulmonary and CC 50/50). He also practiced Pulmonary, Critical, and Sleep Medicine. He joined Baptist Medical Group in Oxford MS, as well as Locum Tenens. Dr. Alfarawati worked with more than 10 LT companies as a Pulmonary/Critical Care physician in multiple states and at multiple hospitals. He is licensed in several states and board certified in IM and Pulmonary diseases. Dr. Alfarawati is experienced in all pulmonary and critical care procedures.
